Vinprovarklubben testar libanesiska viner

Chateau Musar 2016
The Hochar Père et Fils 2015 is a blend of Cinsault (50%), Grenache (35%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%) – the grapes were fermented between 27 ° C and 29 ° C with maceration in cement vats, followed by 6 months in French Nevers oak barrels. It was blended in the spring of 2017 and bottled later on that year.
The Hochar of this year is a bright ruby colour – there are red fruits on the nose; bitter sweet cherries with a hint of dark chocolate. Classic bright red fruits flavours and sweet, spicy notes follow through to the palate. The tannins are soft, the acidity fresh with very long length. Cellared well, it will keep for several years.
The 2011 vintage is our traditional blend of approximately one third each of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and Carignan. The bottling took place 3 years later in 2014, after the wines spent a year in French Nevers oak barrels.
The Chateau Musar Red is a dark blood red colour with a rich, fragrant fruit nose; mulberries, black cherries, plums with a hint of mocha. The palate is very intense and concentrated, it’s full of volume and characterised by forest and black fruits with elegant spice. The tannins are soft and juicy and it has a lengthy finish. Château Kefraya Nr 72382 Les Bretèches , 2014
At some 750 acres, Chateau Kefraya is the second-largest winery in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley; the vineyards, planted in the 1950s, line the steep terraces of Mount Barouk at an elevation of 3,000 feet.  Done entirely in stainless steel and cement, Les Breteches is a Cinsault-driven blend similar to a Cotes du Rhone that shows clear crimson red in the glass and presents fresh jammy aromas of red fruit. Velvety smooth in the mouth, it has flavors of plums and cherries that are supported by silky tannins and good acidity into a round finish
Sammanfattning av kvällen: Vi har redan bokat in nästföljande två provningsdatum...
